NT6.5 using logs to replicate account positions

I'm writing code which will place & manage orders through NT6.5.dll. I will be dealing with multiple accounts and will need my app to have position summaries for each account. My initial thoughts were to get updated information via your dll functions, but in looking at your directory structure, I'm thinking it might be best to use your \log\executions.txt file along with files found in \outgoing\. Am I correct in my assumption that I can utilize those files to replicate the account positions in realtime?

While some of those fields in those files are self explanatory, others aren't. What are the various fields in those files? Please supply me with the headers.

    Thank you.

    Hi WSquared,

Sorry for the delay, thank you for your patience.

That procedure may be possible, but unfortunately is outside of the scope of support we can offer. Supported method are through our ATI with DLL interface described here - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H....html?Overview

Hi Tim, understood. I have read those docs. Can you tell me what the fields are in the executions.txt and also the log file?

      Thanks.

        Hi WSquared,

Those files are meant for diagnosing and order tracking, however, if there is something specific, I'd be happy to explain.

Hi Tim & Thanks. I think I have about half of the fields figured out for the executions.txt file. If you could note what each col is, correcting me where needed, that would be great.

          Thank you. W2

            Hi WSquared,

From where did you find this file? What provider are you connected to?

Is this a "bozo no-no"? I simply installed v6.5 and turned on simulation and I'm having a play with it. I see it is also on my other computer which I installed NT on. is this not supposed to be there? I hope it is, as it will be helpful with my project.

                Hi WSquared,

I'm still unclear which file you are referring to. However, yes, manipulating internal files is, unfortunately outside of the scope of support I can offer, and frankly, not recommended.

Hi Tim, it is \log\Executions.txt. I'm not trying to manipulate the file, simply understand what the different fields mean. Can you still help?

                  Thanks,

                    Hi WSquared,

Unfortunately not, the remaining columns are internally generated order-specific information.
