Timing of Sim versus Live trading

Could you please tell me something about the difference in timing between using the simulator and doing live trading. When placing orders on the simulator the data never leaves my PC - it's all happening within my PC. Thus I can imagine that when doing live trading and placing orders there is a bigger delay. How big is that delay? 1 second, 5 seconds? 10 seconds?

Are you using File>connect>simulated data feed? Or are you using file>connect>[some name]?

For the simulation thus far I have been using file > connect > AMP.

That depends on your PC specs and i-net Connection.

realtime goes faster here in comparsion with sim
