Problem: basic indicator starts only on 21st bar of a daily chart

Dear Sirs,
Please help me with the following.
I am new to NinjaTrader and I am having the following problem.
When I add a basic indicator EMA(Close, 14) or SMA to a daily chart the indicator is drawn from bar #21 even though the Data Box shows values for bars prior to #21. Decreasing the calculation period from 14 days to 10 does not change the first bar the indicator is displayed on the chart.
I am running NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.15 on Windows 7.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum.

This is to be expected since NinjaTrader's indicators will not calculate based on less than 20 bars of historical data due to the volatility of an indicator when there is little data available for calculations.

Understanding this if you would like to view the calculations for less than 20 bars or historical data you can right click on the chart and then choose Properties. Please set the Show Unstable Periods for Indicators to True.
