    Reviewing 100 charts

    Hi

I have a static list of about 100 charts that I look at daily... is there a way in NT 7 to link a chart to a list of stock symbols so that I don't have to maintain 100 separate charts or type in each stock symbol? I essence I would like to click a "next" button and have the same chart populated with the next symbol in my list. I am not trying to save each new chart, just review it.

    Thank you.

MLurski, please create one chart and link it to a MA window (window linking feature), then add your 100 stocks in the MA - when you now click on a stock there the chart would reflect the symbol immediately and you could review.

Is there the ability to copy and paste a large list of stock symbol into a MA?

You would need to add those to an instrument list and then you could load this list in the MA via a right click.

I've tried it and it's GREAT, just what I was looking for!

Is there a way to copy/past a long list of stock symbols into an Instrument List?

Only if you import the instruments ifself fresh, you could choose to add those to a custom list upon batch importing as well, it might do the trick for you - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ckSymbols.html

                  Hello Cornell18,

                  Thank you for your post.

If you'd like to close all charts, you can save to a workspace and then close from there.

File > Workspace > Save Workspace As
Give it a name and then click OK.
File > Workspace > Close Workspace.

Let us know if this isn't what you're looking for.

                    RyanM,

Thank you for your reply. I guess I didn't state my question clearly. Currently, if I have a chart plotted with a template (indicator setup), I could manually click Image->Save As.. and dump to a jpg file. But if I have a list of stocks, it would be tedious to do it one by one. I wonder if there is any way to create a batch job and export a bunch of jpg files. Or is there any command in ninjascript allowing such functions? Any suggestions or workarounds are highly appreciated.

cornell18, there's unfortunately no directl build in way to 'batch dump' those screen captures - with advanced C# coding you could probably devise an indicator to capture an open chart at regular intervals.

That would work for me. Do you know how to get the handle to the chart from indicator? Thanks.

Unfortunately this outside of the scope we can support here, but there are several similiar discussions on our forums already on this - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ead.php?t=3292
