Historical data

Hi,
In terms of historical data,may I know where they reside? Are they store in local machine or NT server? If they're stored locally and I try to change my local machine time,will they be affected?Thanks.

Thank you for your post.

When loading data some will be pulled from your local database and some may be pulled from your data providers server. I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over when NinjaTrader loads historical data.

If you change your local PC clock the data within your cache will be adjusted as well to reflect the new time.

Hi Christopher,

Formerly my PC clock wsa set to GMT+8. As I'm trading FDAX, today I tried to set my PC clock to GERMAN time zone. After changing the time setting, I log in NT and load up the chart. I realized the chart still shown with my old PC time. Pls refer to the attachment. (Log file showed the correct log in time. Based on my old PC clock, FDAX's openning was 14:00. If based on my new setting the openning should be 8:00. Why it still showed 14:00?) Thanks.

Who are you connecting to? Some providers will offer native time stamps.

Have you tried Right Clicking > Reload Historical Data?

(1) I'm connecting to MIRUS/ZF.
(2) I've tried reloading historical data but didn't work.

You may need to change the Time Zone setting as well.
