Hi, I've just created a connection to gain capital demo account can you provide me with a list of instruments that are available?

Is the pricing on the demo account different form a live account?

If i have a live account with gain capital should i use my gain capital account details for the connection?

Will this connection drop at some point each day like IB does and therefore require a manual reconnection?

Does NT store historical fx data from Gain?

Thanks you for your forum post.

I will answer each question below:

1) As far as Pricing NinjaTrader for GAIn accounts is Free of charge when your rebrand your GAIN account for use with NinjaTrader. Also I do not have a list of instruments you can trade, for this you would need to contact GAIN.

2) Yea you will use your live account details for the connection as this is what will enable you to trade yor GAIN account.

3) All connections do have a maintence period of some sort, I dont know how often GAINs maintenence is.

4) Yes NinjaTrader does store historical data for GAIN. The GAIN servers only store 24 hours back and the NinjaTraders server a year or more of data for instruments that are recorded. This option is set when you setup the account connection, select the NinjaTrader historical data servers for more historical data.

NT Software

Is there any way to download the NT software package as a whole so i can install the app on a stand alone PC and not need the internet?

Unfortunately this is not possible. You need to be connected to the internet to download.

gain capital say they provide 24 hour pricing in EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CHF, USD/CAD, AUD/USD, EUR/JPY, EUR/GBP, EUR/CHF, GBP/JPY, AUD/JPY, CHF/JPY, EUR/AUD, GBP/CHF, NZD/USD, NZD/JPY, EUR/CAD, CAD/JPY, AUD/NZD, AUD/CAD, GBP/CAD, GBP/AUD, EUR/NZD, GBP/NZD, AUD/CHF, NZD/CHF, NZD/CAD, CAD/CHF, USD/HKD, USD/SGD, SGD/JPY, USD/NOK, USD/SEK, USD/DKK, EUR/NOK, EUR/SEK, EUR/DKK, USD/MXN and USD/ZAR as well as spot gold (XAU/USD), silver (XAG/USD) and gold crosses XAU/EUR, XAU/GBP, XAU/AUD, and XAU/CHF.

but when i try to load for example USD/DKK or Gold and Silver NT doesn't recognise them.....do you know why?

I'm connected to gain demo and use nt servers for data

The NinjaTrader Historical Servers do not currently support the recording of data for these symbols; e.g. USD/DKK

In the connection dialog for GAIN, you would switch “Use NinjaTrader Servers” to “Use GAIN’s Servers”

Unfortunately, no such list is currently publicly available.

With that said, you can check any symbol by bringing up a chart. If historical data is not available, a pop-up message reporting that will be generated.

Connection

is it possible to run two instances of NJ so i can use different connection's?

i've set up a connection for yahoo so i can view LSE stocks end of day

i've followed this guide http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...=yahoo+finance

so i've created a market analyser, which i've added ftse100 stocks but for some reason 'loading data' doesn't show all the stocks and get stuck and of the ones it has successfully loaded it can't load it in a linked chart. Is there something i am doing wrong?

Make sure the chart you have linked is for a Daily interval or longer (since Yahoo only supports this time increment).

Please also provide some examples of the symbols that are not loading correctly. I will review them on my side & see what may be taking place.
