Instruments List Refresh via ninjatrader.mdb

Hi

I feed data into ninjatrader via an external feed. I also create my own intruments (programatically, via ninjatrader.mdb), then load up ninjatrader and create a chart using these instruments.

Is it possible to add instruments to ninjatrader.mdb and these instruments being available without having to restart ninjatrader.

At the moment if i add new instruments whilst NT is running, i have to restart NT to see them in the intruments list when adding a chart.

Or does NT access the ninjatrader.mdb once on startup, hence why i cannot see new instruments until a restart?

Any confirmation of this, or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forum.

Can you clarify for me whether these instruments are being added within the Instrument Manager or in the database itself.

If the latter, unfortunately, this is not supported.
