Overlaying Indicators
I know we can overlay indicators over the price panel, but this makes the indicator plot on top of the price data. Is there anyway to make the price data plot stay in the foreground on top of the indicator so as to not be covered up by dots and such?Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer ServiceTags: None

You can put both indicators in the same panel, but it won't produce the display you want because VOL and MACD scale differently.
Since the values for MACD are in the range of +1 to -1 (more or less) and the values of VOL can be in the hundreds or thousands, or more, if you put both in the same panel, then only the VOL ends up showing (unless its a very lightly traded instrument).
Can you put each one in its own panel? That seems to work well.

KBJ,
The idea of overlaying is to normalize the axis of the charts so it doesn't matter what scale they are on. Unfortunately it would appear the current overlay indicators I produced won't allow you to overlay over another indicator on panel 2 because I hardcoded it to calculate the scale on panel 1 only.
Without a doubt this is possible if coded the right way so if anyone is feeling up to it they could take a shot at it and I'm sure many community members would appreciate it.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service
