    E-mini Euro FX instrument

I am not able to receive quotes for E-mini Euro FX (E7). Log says "Instrument 'E7 06-10' not supported". I can see quotes thru another platform on the same ZenFire connection.

    Hello,

Thank you for your forum post.

Unfortunately I received the same message which means that this instrument is not supported by NinjaTrader at this time.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Thanks Brett. Is it an issue with instrument definition? I thought NT is a generic software when it comes to instruments.

I think it is the case that E7 is not supported by Zenfire brokers (and most brokers for that matter), so it's not a Ninja-centric issue (but I'm not 100% positive).

This symbol works on other data feed providers however with the zenfire feed that NinjaTrader uses it is not a supported instrument.

I see this instrument in another platform - RithmicTrader. I can be mistaken, but it uses the same ZenFire connection as Ninja.

              Hi,

Can you please do the following and let us know if you’re able to receive data for the E7. I tested this and was able to receive data for Zen-Fire:
              - Open up the Instrument Manager under the Tools menu
              - Remove the E7 from your instrument list on the left side by clicking the ‘>’ button
              - Click OK after this so the Instrument Manager closes
              - Now open up the Instrument Manager again and locate and highlight the E7 in the middle section
              - Once done click the Edit button to open up the Instrument Editor
              - In the Editor check mark the Globex echange and click OK
              - Locate and highlight the E7 again in the middle section and select the Globex exchange which will now be available in the exchange section
              - Once selected click the ‘<’ button to add the E7 back to the default instrument list and click OK
              - Now open up a SuperDOM and select the E7 contract and see if data is coming in

Thanks Vincent, I can see the quotes after I changed the exchange to Globex!
