Does a strategy run off IQFeed data or IB

I want to make sure that my strategies are running on IQFeed data because IQFeed delivers tick by tick information. IB data is delivered in snapshots and is not as accurate for my strategies.

Since I have to connect to both in order to trade, how do I know which feed my strategies are running?

Is it important to connect in a certain order, or are there variations in settings that determine this?

Should I have IB selected as backup for my IQFeed connection and should I have IQFeed selected as backup for my IB connection?
