Calculate on close false still referring to prior bar

Trying to create an alert to calculate in real time but it is still referring to the prior bar. In frame 2, you can see the condition is currently false but market analyzer is showing the condition as true, apparently based upon the prior bar which was true. The default setting for calculate on bar close is false and it is set that way in market analyzer. The alert is based upon Plot(0). Any thoughts? Thanks.

vegasfoster, are you using the same lookback period for the chart and MA window?

Thought it was working at first, but isn't. When I change it to 0, then the alert column shows the last price and not 0 or 1.
