Can ATM strategies do this?

I know an ATM strategy can be used to help "manage" a trade once you enter it. For example handling stops and profit targets. My question is, can an ATM strategy help get you into the trade? For example, lets say my strategy was to buy every time SMA1 crossed SMA2.. I would like the strategy to enter the position at this time and then let me manually manage it from there.... is that possible?

Yes you would need to fully automate the strategy however as ATM strategies are only able to manage the exit of the trade.With the strategy wizard as Ben linked to you could create a fully automated strategy to place trade and also exit the trades automatically.

You can do this with NinjaScript if you are a programmer as well.
