I was just wondering how I can merge trade data from 2 different computers running NT. I want to merge the trade data from 1 computer into the other so that I can have all my trade data show up under the "Account Performance" tab. Thanks in advance.

Merging Trade Data

Hello Youngone,
Thank you for your post.
Trade information is stored in the database file.
You can perform a backup on one computer. Make sure to include the db file in the backup.
Transfer this file (ntbk) to the other computer..
Then, perform a restore.
Note that the Backup will replace everything from one computer to the other.Ryan M.NinjaTrader Customer Service

The backup will replace what was on the computer previously. There is no way to configure it to append to an existing database.
Let's say you make trades on both computer A and computer B. You run the Backup on A and Restore this backup onto B. You will lose the trade information previously made on computer B prior to the restore.
What you may want to do instead is export the trade information to a file and manage this separately in excel. Whenever you generate a report, you can right click in the gird and select Export to Excel.Ryan M.NinjaTrader Customer Service
