How do you write you own Data feed?

Hi,
I'd like to create my own stream of data to drive Ninja.

Is that possible? If yes, Any tips?

I suspect that the .NET ATI interface could be used for this as that appears to be what the Bid/ASK methods do. But how would I register my app as a datasource &/or otherwise integrate with the data part of the Ninja UI.

I was curious on the same feature and I am little confused on this reply. NT user guide reads exactly as follows.

The External Data Feed Connection is a default connection installed with NinjaTrader. In combination with the DLL or COM Interfaces, it provides 3rd party applications the ability to drive NinjaTrader with market data.


This connection targets those traders who have programming experience and wish to create a market data link between their charting or custom application and NinjaTrader which allows them to use the full functionality of NinjaTrader's simulator. Please refer to the Ask and Bid functions of the DLL or COM Interface.

Am I missing something? Where can I find more info on how to connect own data into Ninja?
