Drawing tools on Multiple Windows

Hello All

I am new to NT so please excuse me if it is a silly question.

I opened the two charts with the same contract CL(Crude Oil).
Chart1 -60 Min
Chart2 -240 min.

When I draw a line on Chart1 -60 Min, The Line does not appear in Chart2 -240 min.

What I am looking for is when I draw a line on Chart it should appear on all other charts of the same contract.

Unfortunately this is not supported in NinjaTrader 6.5.

However this is supported in NinjaTrader 7. Please see the link below for more information.

New Global Draw Objects
Draw objects now have an "Attach to" property and can be set to Instrument. Setting a Draw object to an instrument makes it global and any chart with this instrument regardless of chart type will display this draw object and receive any location and property modifications made.

Is it possible to have it as default to attach drawn objects to all charts with the same instrument. Right now I have to change in Attach to: ES 06-10 (All charts) for all my objects one by one. I have tried set default but that doesn't seem to work.

Hello Mpe,

You will need to attach each drawing object manually. Unfortunately, there is no option to attach all applied drawing objects at once.

Thank you for your inquiry.

This thread is in reference to NinjaTrader 6.5 and NinjaTrader 7. We do not actively develop or make changes to features for either 6.5 or 7 anymore because of their age. In NinjaTrader 8, we've implemented a number of improvements to most features (including drawing objects). You can apply drawing objects to all charts of the same instrument. You can also save the 'All Charts' option as the default 'Attach To' property using drawing object templates so both of the items mentioned here are possible.
