I would appreciate it if somebody could explain how you remove a time period from the trading day.I know how to include a time period but everytime I try to exclude one my backtesting comes up with no results.I know its simple but it alludes me ATM Thanks

I had a look at the references mentioned but am still a little lost.I was actually wanting to specifically know how to exclude some time periods from my strategies using the Strategy wizard if thats possible thanks

You can setup time filter rules as part of your conditions as well in the wizard -

I have used the time functions in the wizard but i can't find out how to exclude a time period in the trading day only to include same

You control this over what portion you include, if you add to your strategy to only take trades between 930 and 1200, then the rest of the time the rules would not trigger and thus you excluded the rest of the day then.
