    Missing Chart Data

    Hi

I am using Ninja 6.5 and Zen Fire data feed. I experience missing chart data on 24 and 25 of March before trading session opens.
I tried refreshing the chart and re-initialised format data series but it could not recover the lost data. It could not recover the missing data even with new chart. The instruments are ES and TF.

Please advise how to recover the missing data.

ninja99, for which ES and TF expiries do you see this? Are you using the current June fronth month contracts as you request data?

ninja99, checked my ZenFire June charts here and do not spot any gaps - please delete historical data via Tools > Historical Data > Delete and then redownload a complete fresh set of data from the servers. Please also ensure sessions are set to full 24 hrs.

Deleting and reloading have resolved the missing data issue.
However, I encounter a new problem while executing the above functions.
I repaired database as instructed by drop down menu while executing the above functions. As a result, I noted that there is an open short position for TF03-10 in SIM101 account and I am unable to close it because it is an expired contract.

Please advise how to delete this expired contract as it shows up each time I close NinjaTrader.

Will resetting database resolve it? what is the impact of resetting the database?

            Hi ninja99,

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.

From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
            Select the "Simulator" tab
            Press the "Reset" button

What's happened in the history of the server !!!

Incorrect historical tick data in your NinjaTrader history server for 6E 06-10, 6B 06-10 from March 1 to March 16! What's happened in the history of the server, correct it in the future???

Muska, at which date / time do you exactly see issues for those contracts? Checked a 150 tick chart on my end from March 16 back and the server data looks correct to me. Have you already tried deleting present historical data for those contracts via Tools > Historical Data > Delete and then reloading 100% fresh?

                  Thanks

Futures 6B 06-10 for the March 8 show incorrect maximum volume of day 226 price 1.5063 ... A must have volume of 1950 to 1.5070 price!
9 and 10 March also incorrectly shows the maximum volume on the price!

Muska, I'm not sure what or whom you comparing with - data from different providers and feeds is not expected to line up 100% tickwise -

You might also need to look into the custom code of your tool you use to arrive at the maximum volume calculations.

On your server does not correct the historical tick data from the March 8 in some days(6E,6B,...), I compared to CME data. In NinjaTrader 7.0.0.12 and 6.5.1000.15 tick data differ from 6.5.1000.14 ...

Please delete historical data and reload fresh in all your installations to compare, also NT 6.5 and NT 7 would access different servers most likely.

As for as comparing to CME and other source's data - tickdata will most likely never match up a 100%.
