Yahoo Chart Updates 4 hours after the closing bell?

I'm currently using Yahoo for historical data and it seems the chart for the current day gets updated around 8PM Eastern time or so, up until then the chart is displayed from the previous day or an estimated chart of today.

Is there any fix for this so the chart would get updated for the current day right after the market closes, or does it basically wait until all after-hours trading is complete?

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, the data provided to NinjaTrader is dependent on when it is relayed by the Yahoo feed.

You can right click on the chart and select Reload Historical Data to update in between the 60 second update interval, but if the data is not provided by Yahoo it will not be present.

The time that Yahoo data is provided to NinjaTrader can not be changed, unfortunately.

I see. Thank you for your help. If I used the premier $20/month Barchart service with NT would it be update live or at the end of the day like yahoo? Thanks in advance. Or, is there another inexpensive feed you recommend?

Yes, other data providers, including BarChart, offer real-time data which will update with every tick. Yahoo does not because they only offer historical daily data. Please see the following link for other data providers, and their offerings.
