simple market scan

hello,
how can I set up an alert in Market Analyzer to tell me when a
price has dropped a certain % (i.e. 5%) from daily open price?

Also, can NT scan the entire universe of stocks for the above or is it restricted to alerting me only to the instruments I tell it to scan?

can these alerts be sent via email?

You can setup alerts in the Market Analyzer. Please see the following link for information and instructions.

Unfortunately the alerts are limited to certain conditions and numerical values only.

Alerts conditions will apply per column.

In addition, you can create a custom indicator that triggers alerts when you like and insert it in the Market Analyzer using an Indicator column. More information regarding creating custom indicators can be found at the link below.

Hi -

Watched all the market analyzer videos, and read some of the posts here....so filters can only do numerical values?

For example, the analyzer cannot filter stocks that have the closing price be below the 30 day EMA and above the 10 day SMA?

I was able to set this up in the Strategy section...but you cannot scan historical data from scans correct?

That is correct. The alerts in the Market Analyzer can only use numerical values.

When you apply indicators in the Market Analyzer, they will be plotted on the amount of bars setup in the Market Analyzer properties menu (right click Market Analyzer). However, the indicator will only display the current value in the Market Analyzer.
