Okay, so at the start of last week I spent ages downloading 1 minute data from jan 08 to jan 10 into the "database", then I disconnected to make sure that I could be sure to be back testing on the same data each time.
It worked all week and I have not connected since downloading that data.
But today, the data seems to have dissapeared from my hard disk apart from a few days. Or has it? I don't really know! After all, there is no way to check what data is there, or is not there, other than to try to plot charts or run a backtest and wait for a null result.
Please, please, please, can somebody tell me how I can, once I download the data again, save it somewhere where NT cannot touch it such that when NT decides to mess it all up again I can just restore it and continue as though it had not happened. I.e. I want to save the whole database and restore it after NT seemingly randomly and for no reason deletes data.
