Newbie query - sample strategies not executing trades

Hi,

I've just started evaluating NT and have connected to Yahoo with no problems. I testing out the sample strategies for back testing and whilst the data loads none of the trades are executing?

Seems like I'm missing something basic - any ideas?

Are you testing on individual stocks or ETF's?

Unfortunately indices can't be traded, so for example a backtesting on the SP500 symbol would not be possible.

Bertrand, thanks for the swift response. I take it that the instruments available are determined by the connection used? (Yahoo shows only stocks and indices.)
