draw a channel at set width

    Hi

Please can someone tell me how I can draw a channel at a set number of ticks? I am using a tick chart and so want a moveable object which is always set at say 10 ticks in height on my chart.

And another thing, I keep creating my fib levels and colour scheme and click set default' and then everytime I close a chart and open it again its all been reset?! I don't want to have to set my fib levels each time so please let me know how this is done or why it is not working?

    Thanks

    Hi reggiedonald,

    Thank you for your post.

If you right click on the charts you can select Drawing Tools and then select Regression Channel, which is spaced. The spacing on this is based on Standard Deviation rather than ticks. If you wish to draw the channel you may want to create an indicator that is an offset number of ticks from a bar based on values. This can be done using NinjaScript by one of our consultants.

Or you can program this yourself.

As for your issue regarding drawing tools and default settings. This is to be expected as the drawing tools are set for individual charts as default during the current session. If you close a chart the Drawing Tools defaults will revert. This is going to change with the release of NinjaTrader 7.
