Help getting out of trade at end of day

Hello,

I am trying to cancel trades that have not filled and also sell whatever trades I entered at the end of the day.

I noticed in the control center in the TIF dropdown, GTD is an option, but in the basic entry I dont see it. I am assuming GTD will accomplish what I am trying to do.

An example of what I am trying to do:

Stock opens at 16.00
I place order to buy at 16.35, sell at target 16.70, sell at stop 16.00
If the order triggers and does not reach either sell point, I would like to sell just before market closes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to our forums.

If you click on the Orders tab of the control center, you can see the status of any unfilled orders. You can right click in this grid > "Filter only Active orders" to see only open orders. You can cancel manually here by clicking on the X to cancel.

For Time in Force (TIF), the GTD refers to Good till Date. It sounds like you're intersted in orders that will cancel at the end of the trading day, and this is "Day".

There is also a "Time to Flatten" option you can set under Tools > Options > Misc tab. Check the "Flatten All" if you would like this option set.
