    Foreign symbol insert to Ninja

    Hello everyone

I am using Ninjatrader with a e-signal feed. I am from south africa and I am sure that the e-signal feed are the correct one for Safex.
I am having trouble to get Ninja Trader working with the right symbols. Can I please give you exactly what I need like it stands on E-signals website It would be great if you can guide me step by step through this process, I have tried Ninja support but the people working there dont know the answer.

    Ok please visit:

    go to support-----product support
select e signal--- down almost at the bottom left
    select Symbols Guide
    Under Asia / Pacific Futures
    you will see :
<li target="_blank">SAFEX South Africa Futures Exchange (SAF) open this one
if you scroll down you will see this :
    FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index Future

This is the one I would like to have integrated in Ninja.

Please could you find a way to help me, I am at a dead end and i really need Ninja to work with this.

Would be much appreciated if you can help.

    Many Thanks

    Roy

    Hello roya1,

Please see the information below to setup new future instruments with eSignal as data feed in NinjaTrader. Go to Tools-->Instrument Manager and click New to create a new instrument.

To support a futures instrument XXX Z8-YYY, whereas XXX is the eSignal instrument name and YYY is the eSignal exchange name, then you need to check this on instrument manager:

    - ‘Default’ exchange should be assigned. If the instrument is traded on a different connection, then the native exchange needed to be assigned too

    - Set rolling period accordingly

    - Set mapping to XXX|YYY. This would be translated to XXX Z8-YYY for the Dec 08 expiry

If this will not work for you, please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com including your eSignal login credentials, so we can test it on our end.
