    Performance data date range inaccurate

    Hello,

I just completed simulation trading with some automated strategies this morning and then went to the Account Performance tab to review my trades. When I put in the "from" date of "2/9/2010" and the "to" date of "2/9/2010", the only trades I would expect to see are trades that were exited on "2/9/2010". However, I am additionally seeing on the trade tab, some trades that were initiated on "2/5/2010" and closed out on "2/8/2010". Why would these trades be showing up in my results if my date rage was only 2/9/2010 to 2/9/2010. I must be missing something with the way it calculates dates.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm having the same issue. Is there anything I can do or should I send Log/Trace files to support?

        Hello Coolmoss,

Do you have "Group trades by ATM Strategy" selected when you are running the Account Performance?

I'm actually helping a client on this, so I'm not sure. My guess is no. However, if yes, would that make a difference? I do know a significant number of trades are ATM because I wrote a ninjascript strategy which submits ATM orders.

            coolmoss,

With "Group ATM" checked, your results may vary if there was an ATM Strategy submitted that was not exited with it's paired exit order. To get true results, uncheck group trades and it shouldn't do any sort of grouping/pairing.

However depending on what you're seeing, it may simply just be that trades were being held over night. For example if you placed a trade Wednesday evening, and then exited that trade some Time Thursday, if you run a report for just Thursday, it will also include the opening trade that occurred on Wednesday to complete the report.
