    NT 6.5 Replay Missing Date

    Hello,

    I'm using NT 6.5.1000.14 version, and I collected replay data from 8pm-4pm (prior night to next day). When I run replay, charts don't display the previous date's data. I have attached a screen capture, and you can see that when I replayed 11/11/2009 file, chart didn't show 11/10 data.

    Please, let me know what I did wrong. Thanks!

    Hello hcgaloi,

    Am I correct you recorded the data starting on 11/10? If so, please connect to the 11/10 market replay date.

    Subsequently create a new chart via File-->New-->Chart and check if all recorded data is replayed.

    If not, please right click the Market Replay control and select 'Available Instruments'. Check what times are listed.

      Thanks Jason for you response.

      Yes, I recorded the data at night on 11/10. When I replayed the file, the morning trading session (6am-1:15pm) was missing on chart. Replay only show data of 11/09 then 11/10 starting at 8pm when I recorded the file.

      I have attached a week worth of replaying data, hopefully this will help.

        This is as expected. If you started recording at 8 PM on 11/10, it wil not replay data before that, since you did not record it.

        Please connect to 11/10, right click the Market Replay control and select 'Available Instruments'. Check if the Market Replay connection will replay the data for the times indicated.

          Okay, I think I didn't make it clear. Replay worked as expected starting from the time I recorded the data (8pm on 11/10). So, there is no problem there.

          What I expect is that historical data from 12am-7:59pm of 11/10 be displayed on chart. Then, replay would continue to display data at 8pm when data was recorded. So, the issue that I'm having is no historical data from midnight to 7:59pm displayed.

          Hopefully this will clear things up a bit. Thanks again!

            I see, thank you for your clarification. Can you please try the following the steps.

            Restart NinjaTrader and create a new chart.

            Set the end date to 11/10. Check if the historical data is there.

            Subsequently connect to the Market Replay (11/10) and check if this will work.

              Hi Jason,

              Step one, setting end date to 11/10 displayed historical data. However, as soon as I connect to Market Replay, the historical data was cleared.

              So, this method didn't work. Thanks!

                I was able to reproduce it on my end as well.

                Unfortunately it is not possible. The 11/10 historical data is removed, since you replay data as per 11/10. If you replay data for a specific date, the historical data for that date is removed and replaced by the Markey Replay data.

                You should see historical data as per prior dates.

                    Unfortunately this is not supported. However, NinjaTrader 7 will improved as per the Market Replay, see the forum thread below.
