Is it possible to use a strategy to enter trades only and use ATM to manage them?

Hi,

Please forgive me if this has been asked before.

I want to use custom strategies such as simpleSMAcrossover to enter a trade, once a entry order is filled, I want to turn off the strategy and use a ATM strategy to manage the trade (stop loss, profit target, trailing stop),

Once the position is closed by this ATM strategy, I can restart the simpleSMAcrossover strategy to enter another trade, turn it off, and use ATM strategy to manage it again.

Is it achievable in NT?

You can call an ATM strategy from a NinjaScript strategy. The NinjaScript strategy will not "stop" per se, but it does hand over control of the trade to the ATM strategy.

Please see the already preinstalled SampleAtmStrategy for an example of how to do this.

activating ATM feature on the simulator

How do I turn on the ATM feature on the Sim please?

I am not quite sure what you mean by activating it. There is nothing you would need to do per se to use ATMs. All you have to do is setup an ATM in your Chart Trader or your DOM and have it selected prior to entering the market. When you enter the market it will attach the ATM to it automatically.

Where is the "selection box" located.When I am on "sim" I should have these ATM features available?

For the Chart Trader it would be below the trading buttons. For the DOM it would be below the Price Ladder.

What type of license key are you on? Perhaps you are on Direct version of NT which does not have ATM.
