    Reverse at stop

When using the Reverese at stop feature, if the trade reverses, does it use the same ATM strategy for the reverse trade or is the profit target adjusted to recover the stop loss from the original trade?

    Hello sourcem,

    Thank you for your post.

If the Rev at Support option is enabled then the same ATM strategy that you first entered a position with will be used when reverse strategy is enabled. The property is not itself designed to recover loss, but is an additional tool to help the trader be successful. Please see the following link for more information.

Reverse at stop, but not after auto break-even.

Is there a way to cancel "reverse at stop" behavior after auto break-even stop was triggered? I no longer want to reverse at stop that was moved to break-even.

      Thanks.

        Hello evlap,

        Thank you for your post.

Once you enter a position with a Reverse at Stop you can disable for future orders, but the Rev at Stop will still be enabled for your current position.

If you wish to to cancel the Rev at Stop you will want to manually exit the reverse entry orders. You'll notice that the orders at your stop are split into two. One is to exit the position, and the other is to reverse entry.

If you right click on the type of order on the correct column for the the order type, buy side for buys and sell side for sells, you will be able to cancel the Rev at Stop orders, which should be called Entry.

Please refer to the following link.

            Hi,

            Try the following:
Right click in the ATM Strategy window--> Advanced Options--> Uncheck 'Rev at Stop'.

what good is that? if i have it on, why would i unchick it? that would be the same as not using it.

what i want to know is how to remove the rev once the trade is already placed using chart trader.

                Hi jupiejupe,

Since the REV at Stop or Target will submit a second trade at the same price level to an entry order for the reversed position you could cancel the open targets and stops to also cancel the reverse, and then manually bracket your open position.

If you have an open position without any stop loss or profit target orders protecting it you can easily add these exit orders.
Please see a post in our support forum that outlines how to accomplish protecting an open position.

This can be done in much the same manner from Chart Trader as it is done with the SuperDOM by enabling OCO orders and then placing orders to protect your current open position.

dude, are you even serious that is just is stupid,
if i have reverse at stop set on my atm,
and a place a trade, how do i than remove the reverse at stop once i no longer need it!
like after my first profit target is hit, (which i am just saying should be in the atm to automatically remove the "reverse at stop" because then the stop becomes some else. like a trailing stop or breakeven) which means no trader i know would want a "reverse at stop" because the moment that i (we) have enter the trade have now changed.

if you can not answer the question than just say so do not waste yours or my time by posting things in your above post.

                    Hi jupiejupe,

Since you asked specifically about Chart Trader there is no way to separate split orders that reside at the same price level from the chart using Chart Trader.

However, if you were using a SuperDOM the trades that are showing at the same price level that are split you can right-click and cancel the entry order that resides at the same price level, thus canceling your reverse order.

As for the other items where the Reverse at Stop is canceled when a target is hit I have forwarded that suggestion to development.

you can also pass along, should anyone from you company wish to contact me i have i whole list of things ninjatrader should do to suit the needs of traders, NT has been designed to the letter of the rules, which is not real world, most of mine and my developer's suggestions are minor in nature.

                            Hi RaminRostami,

                            Thank you for your post.

Using the included features of an ATM strategy this would not be possible, but what you could do is re-select your ATM strategy and then at the same level as the stop loss order place an entry trade, so that if the stop loss was hit there would also be a buy order at that same price level to be filled.

                              Dear Sir Mr. Rayan

I used the automated system Ninja Scripts to create a strategy of two sets, one for long position and the other for the short that works as I want, however As soon as one of the two position hits the stop loss I want them to be reversed automatically so they continue with the trend movement.
the opened position after trail stop hit will be with the same conditions (trailing stop loss 4 ticks and no Take profit because it will be stopped automatically by my strategy.)
Please note, that I looked over all the ninja trader forum pages, internet, futures.iso web.. everything. the best I came with is an on-execution code which I am attaching with this post.
I do not understand I found this post subject since 2009, and the same problem asked by people and no one has like a straight answer to it.
I need the method on how to Reverse my position after trail stop/stop-loss is trigger or hit. if the code I attached is the right solution I need to understand how to connect it with the strategy I have created, if it will be explained step by step. I will be very grateful, and I believe the forum will be also
