Give Workspace to another user?

Hi,

Is it possible to copy a workspace and email it to another user? I want to include all the charts, etc.

Thank you for your post.

This is possible.

You will find the workspace files in the My Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 > Workspaces folder.


This will transfer window layouts and settings. If you are looking to transfer indicators as well, this would need to be accomplished through the backup and restore utilities.

Just to clarify on this workspace transfer,..so if the particular workspace is transferred (to other user's workspaces folder), can the other user see the same amount of charts/settings with indicators loaded on the chart? The user already has all the indicators.

So,in this way workspaces are portable correct? So,like if workspace has 20 charts,instead of transferring 20 chart templates to a user, the better option is to just transfer the workspace file and the user will be able to see all 20 charts with settings,indicators and drawobjects,..correct?

Yes, all of this would be transferred and will be available on the other PC so long as the indicators are available.

I just transferred workspaces to another user and it worked great. He is trying Ninja. It got him off to a great start.

Hi Folls,

Thank you for your post.

Your workspaces are located in the My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->Workspaces folder. You can attach the .xml file for the workspace to an email.

The recipient will then take that .xml file and then place it in the same folder on their local machine.
