No historical data before 2009?

I use zenfire and I am trying to backtest data from before 2009. Whenever I try to open a chart prior to the 03-09 contract it tells me "You must select an instrument" or something to that effect.

Is this because of my settings somewhere in NT or does zenfire not provide data prior to mid december of 2008.

If I am not able to get access to this data through zenfire do you know of an easy way to get the tick data from today back to Jan 2008?

Thank you for your post.

You should be able to receive data for contracts prior to the 12-08 front month. However, the availability of NinjaTrader to access other front months is dependent upon your system's PC clock.

If you change your system PC clock to an earlier date and then open NinjaTrader you should have the ability to select earlier front months than the cut-off imposed by today's actual date.

Also when viewing charts for expired contracts please make sure that you format the chart's range settings to include the appropriate dates.
