Optimizing != max. result

Hello

during some optimization I observed some mysterious things. After optimizing the input parameters, I changed them randomly and got better results (cumulated net profit) then the optimization progress showed me (optimized on max. net profit). How can this be? The random parameters were in the optimization range, so they should have been tested. How can this happen? I hope you can help me.

Sepp, not sure why you might be experiencing this. Is it a reproducible event? If so, would it be possible for you to send in the code and data and steps that lead to this issue to [email protected] attention 'austin - thread 23995'.

I backtested it with all the same parameters like in the optimizing, but changed one parameter and it got a better result.
Sure I can send you this, but not sure if I'll get this today, because I'm leaving for holiday. Otherwise I'll send it to you in a few days. I hope this is okay for you.

Haha funny! Before sending you the email I optimized it again - with the same parameters that I used before. And as max. results I got completely different ones then before! So it looks like it's working now. Not sure what caused the error last time. I'll contact you if this happens a second time.
