Need an Alarm

Hi,

I've tried looking all over the Help area for NT but cannot find anything with an alarm. I see an alert, but there's nothing that I've seen or read that allows you to set an actual alarm for when a stock or future hits a certain price.

Does NT have a way to set an alarm? I would think that surely it does?

Thank you for your post.

You have a few different options for creating an alert of this type.

If all you are looking for is an audio alarm when a price is met, the PriceAlert indicator should meet your needs.

Right click in your chart and select Indicators.
In the indicators menu, select PriceAlert from the list on the upper left and click the New button.
On the right side of the Indicators menu, set the Price property to the value you would like to be alerted of, then click OK to apply this indicator and exit the Indicators menu.

If you are looking for text to be printed to the Alerts window as well, you would want to use the Market Analyzer. In the Market Analyzer, you will be setting the alert on the Last Price column.
