How do I base an indicator on an indicator?
How do I base an indicator on an indicator? I'm not seeing any 'input' type field in the indicators window, how do I make the input for any indicators subgraph that of another indicator, and not just the price, as it is by default?Tags: None

Hello Kablooie!,
Unfortunately this is not supported in NinjaTrader 6.5. You could set the indicators to the same panel, but if they use different Y-axis values, the outcome will be different than expected.
However, this is supported in NinjaTrader 7.
New Indicators on Indicators
The image below depicts the new "Input Series" dialog that is available when adding an indicator to a chart. In addition to selecting a Data Series input, you can optional expand the indicators section and select any indicator as input to another indicator. You can infinitely nest indicators within indicators...Not that this would be required....
