    problem connecting with latest version of NT

    I had an issue with 2010 not showing up as well and then saw to d/l latest version of NT.

    However when I open NT and select "Connect" it will load my charts with data but the control panel on the botton left corner still shows "Connecting to Zen-Fire" but it never changes to green and shows connected. I left my charts up for 15 minutes and all the prices were moving and Superdom where adjusting price with the charts, but it still showed "Connecting to Zen-fire" on bottom left corner.

    Now obviously I must have made the connection since price adjusting, but how do I get NT to show fully connected. I do not want to make any live trades without it showing connected.

    Any thoughts? This is obviously a NT issue. I dont want NT to think I am not connected and disc while in a trade for any reasone.

    Please help.

    Thank you for your post.

    In most cases, this is indicative of a database corruption.

    Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.
    • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
    • Select the "Misc" tab
    • Press the "Repair DB" button
    • Press the "OK" button


    If this does not do the trick, you will need to rename your database using the steps listed below. This will cause NinjaTrader to create a new database. Because of this, historical chart data would need to be reloaded. Likewise, ATM strategy templates, custom instruments and instrument lists would need to be recreated.


    To rename the DB:
    • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
    • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
    • Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
    • Name it "NewNinjaTrader.MDB."
    • Then restart the software.
