200ema different from other providers

HI there. I plot a 200ema on daily charts. I notice the 200 ema appears with different values using NT even than IB or other charting software.

Please take a look at the attachments.

When looking to short this stock all the other charts have the 200 ema out of the way. Why is NT calculating such a different value?

Thank you for your post.

There could be several reasons why the indicator could be plotted differently on other platforms such as the type of data, historical data, real time data, Time Stamping, etc.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over why bars may look different after reloading historical data compared to real time data which would give you different results when plotting an indicator.

Having read the page linked here I can certainly see tick charts could easily create problems from vendor to vendor. This issue howover is with daily prices. and a long timeframe average. There is variance in the other vendors. $11.65, $11.66 and $11.70. This amount of variance I can accept. However NT calculated this average at $11.35. This not an acceptable variance on an EMA of this length. 3% variance? on Daily Data? This is very concerning.
