NinjaTrader Will Not Appear After Install

I just installed NinjaTrader 6 on Windows XP Pro today. It installed successfully.

However, whenever I start the program, nothing comes up, at all.

I can see it on task manager under processes, but there is no splash screen or anything else for that matter.

    Hmm weird...

Make sure you have .NET 2.0 runtime installed.
If still does not work I suggest:
    - uninstalling NT6 via control panel
    - clearing your browser cache
    - downloading and installing again

Nope, no good. Are there any other installation files besides the .msi one? I've tried previous versions and they're no good either.

Sorry no, this is the one and only installation file. I suggest trying on a different machine if you can. Which windows version is this?

It's Windows XP Pro SP2. I've tried installing it on my notebook, which runs Vista Home Premium, and it works fine. However, because I have a larger workspace on my desktop, I would still like to try and get it running.

Does NT start as you click once the icon and then press the space bar?

Nope. I think there's something wrong with the installation, because I can't view the User Agreement either.

                Please try:
                - saving your downloaded files to desktop before installing
                - using a different browser to download the installer
                - using one of those free download tools (don't have a link at hand though)

Then I'm out of ideas for now. So far you're machine is the only one which exhibits this behavior.

                    Sorry...

Could you please check which version of the .NET framework you have installed on your machine and let me know?

You can check via Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. This will list all applications installed on your PC.

                            I have:

                            Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
                            Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix
                            Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
                            Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0

You could try removing 3.0, 1.1 and 1.1 hotfix and only leave 2.0 (the only which NT6 requires). May be that makes a difference.
