Problem displaying US Dollar Index IQFeed

How do you get an NT chart of the US Dollar Index using IQFeed?

In instrument manager, I added USD as an index, specified CBOE as the exchange in the 'Definition' tab, then in the 'Misc' tab under Symbol Map for IQFeed I entered DX.X

When I try to display a chart of USD Index, I get an error message, "Unable to Load Data !Error! Invalid Symbol."

After following your instructions, here's the screenshot.

I'm getting today's bar, but prior bars even despite trying 'Right-click, Reload Historical Data.'

It seems there is no historical daily data available with IQFeed. I receive the same error.

However, when I create a 1 minute chart, the requested data is loaded.

GAIN & Dollar Index

Jason - I saw your reply to another post, and I too am trying to get a chart for the Dollar Index... but with the Gain feed.

I followed your instructions, but I am getting a "no mapping available" error.

Hello Scott,

Unfortunately this is not possible, since Gain only supports forex instruments and not futures instruments.
