unable to get daily charts

I have connected to GAIN and use NinjaTrader servers as backup. I am able to properly download historical minute data but am unable to see daily charts.

Can someone tell me the problem?

Unfortunately historical daily data is not supported with Gain as per the link below.

Thanks for the response Jason. I have circumvented the problem by looking at 1440 min charts.

I had one more question though. Can I configure my charts such that the bars start at a different time. Say the 4 hr charts start 1 hr later than the default setting?

Essentially I would like m daily bars to start and end at different times...

You can set the session start and end times in the chart properties of the chart (double click the chart).

weekly charts

Hi,

A couple more questions -

1. Is there a way we can creatively consolidate minute data to get weekly charts?

2. If we load daily data in NT and back test automated strategy on a weekly Timeframe, how does the order get placed at the various price points the security visited during the week. I'd think tick data will be required to do an accurate testing on the weekly charts. Please advice.

1. To simulate weekly bars please use a 10080 minute chart.

2. Weekly bars are built utalizing Daily data as apposed to tick data. Tick data is used when building Range, Second, Volume and Tick bars.
