"Reload Historical Data" is grayed out.

    "Reload Historical Data" is grayed out.

    When I right click on a chart and select "Reload Historical Data", I sometimes find that it is grayed out - why is this? I am running multiple installations of NT simultaneously in virtual machines, and today I find that all of them are exhibiting the same behavior - I just started all of them, and can't reload data for any of them.

    This is preventing me from trading since I can't load up the data that occurred overnight. Is this a signal that there is a problem with NT's historical servers or something?

      Zen-Fire with Mirus futures. This has happened before, but usually if I restart it solves the problem. Today it is happening across multiple installations at the same time, and persists across restarts. This sounds like a problem with the data servers to me...

        There was an outage effecting the historical data server this morning. Please disconnect and reconnect and historical data will be available.

          Can't reload historical data

          Just to make sure you don't underestimate this thing. Same problem here. NT6.5.1000.14 Live. I just started NT to see what the unemployment data will bring. All the data between my morning session and the current time is missing and I can't reload it. Of course I can't trade like this. So hurry the !"%"$%" up. There's already another threat opened with the same problem.

            Are you using Zen-Fire as well? If so, please disconnect then reconnect and the historical data will be available.

              Oh, and just before I get the same answer: I disconnected and reconneceted and restarted several times. No difference.

                  I forgot to mention it in the first reply: TT. Oh, and excellent: I just had to try about 5 times to reconnect or restart and the data is already there. Superb.

                    Seems to work now. You guys should code it up so that it is much more obvious when there is a problem with the data server - you need to have a message displayed somewhere prominently in the app when the historical data server cannot be reached or does not return data. We could have wasted a lot of time with this trying to figure out what was wrong.
