if my round trip on commission is $4 per contract is that the number I should enter in "minimum commissions"?
When I do that the commissions are calculated incorrectly.
Perhaps it should be $2 as in $2 to buy $2 to sell, hence $4 round trip? Even with that the commissions are off. with 84 trades the commissions are calulated at $656 which is $7.80 per trade ... does not make any sense. Please advise

Thank you for your post.

For a round trip total the minimum commission would be half, so you are correct that the minimum should be 2 dollars.

Additionally, that value is for each contract so the 84 trades does not take into account the total number of contracts.

If that is the case then you will want to enter commission splits for a commission related to the number of contracts.

How does ninja calculate trades? Say I enter 2 for two contracts and with two targets and break even starategy. How many trades will ninja calculate if the trade goes my way ? Is it 4 (2 for initial entry and 2 to close it when target are reached ) or is it 6 ( to account for the adjustment due to break even )?

4 (2 for initial entry and 2 to close it when target are reached) orders would occur in the scenario you described.
