    One click for two orders

    Hi,

    I have zenfire interface.

Is there a way to place two orders with just one click?

For example, I would like to buy one emini s&p contract at the market
and sell one emini dow contracts at the market as a spread at the same
time. I know I can buy one sp first and then sell dow second.

But wondering if I can do both orders with just single click.

    Thank you

    Hello,

Not with NT 6.5, but you can program hot keys in NT7:

Thanks. I will look forward to nt7 then.
Do you know expected release date of nt7?

      One more quick question.
If I have spread position like one long S&P and one short Dow YM,
is there anyway to show total combined P&L on positions tab?

Right now, I have one line P&L for each instrument and I have to add
two lines manually to see the total P&L as a single spread position.

It would be easier for me to have combined P&L for whole spread
to make a quick decision to close out both positions at the same time.

      Thanks

        Hello badasan,

        Thank you for your reply.

1.) NinjaTrader 7 began it's beta program a few weeks ago. Historically our beta programs have lasted approximately 3 months. We do not believe that there is anything with version 7 that would change this.

2.) Unfortunately, there is no way to accomplish this automatically. I will, however, forward your suggestion on to my development team for further consideration.

I now have NT7 beta 15. Could you please show me how to program hot key to execute two orders with one key? like buying emini s&p and selling
emini dow at one single click. I went to tools->hot key manager but not sure how to program single click for two seperate orders.

          Thanks

            Hi badasan,

While it is possible to configure a hot key that will place an order, those orders apply only to the order entry window that you currently have selected and the instrument that it is tied to.

Due to this, it is not possible to create a hot key that would place orders in multiple instruments with a single click.

I will, of course, forward this on to my development team for further consideration.

Yes. This would be very valuable for trading inverse ETFs, such as FAS and FAZ. It would be nice to program one button that you could program to switch you from one ETF to its inverse (basically a OTA order, where "one" is "sell ETFa" and "another" is "buy ETFb" once the sell order is filled).
