IB and Gain connection

Hi,

I would like to run IB and Gain at the same time. I would like to run them both so I have tick data for range charts ( not possible through IB feed)

I want IB feed to be my primary connection so I can see their spreads on chart trader. However if try to connect with IB first and Gain second a warning message comes up saying I must connect to Gain first. It also says that I shouldn't trade with two connections ?

Thank you for your post.

This is to be expected. One other thing to note is that you can connect to GAIN first and then get historical data for tick based charts and then connect to IB and continue getting real-time tick data for the tick based charts.

IB does provide real-time tick data, but there is no historical tick data. So you can use IB for your range charts there just won't be any history. But you can get this historical tick data from GAIN by connecting and then disconnecting and that information will then be in your NinjaTrader database.
