Adding TSX to NT using Esignal

Trying to get NT to work. I have a data only subscription from Esignal, I subscribed to Canadian Stocks only. Of course TSX stocks aren't in NT, it seems you have to add them.

I try to do that and I only get blank charts.

Esignal says that NT uses Ticker-TC for canadian stocks.

How can I see a chart for ABX on the TSX. ABX is Barrick Gold. I'm especially confused about the Mapping part under Misc Tab.

I would try to chart an american stock to demonsrate it to the forum, but I didn't subscribe to get that data.

Esignal confirmed over teh phone that I am connected to them. A few days ago I saw a Futures chart on a Zenfire Demo, but I want stocks not futures.

what do I do to chart canadian stocks?

Are Canadian etfs treated differently than stocks when it comes to adding them?

Thank you for your post.

NinjaTrader comes pre-loaded with the most commonly traded instruments however, you may find the need to add an additional instrument. Please follow the instructions below to add an instrument in the Instrument Manager.

• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
• Press the "New" button
• *Enter in instrument specific information and select the appropriate exchange (add Default exchange for equities in addition to the actual exchange)
• Fill in any relevant information under the "Misc" tab such as symbol mapping for your target connectivty provider
• Press the "OK" button

Now, with the particular instruments that you are adding you only need to specify the exchange as default, and for eSignal the symbol mapping can be found at the following link if you search for the symbol and specify the exchange.

I realise this topic is extremely old now, however just thought I’d mention this new product if anyone is now after a completely automated solution to loading TSX shares (with Symbol Map automatically configured for use with 6+ data suppliers) and configuring NinjaTrader for use in Canada.
