Live and historical data together

Pats does not provide historical data.
If i buy missing data i have a problem: how do i make continuous contract ##.## accept live real time data?
Or instead can i add historical data to a certain expiration date future, for example 12/08?

Does NT7 solve the problem with auto rollover? can i add to NT 7 historical data in an easier way?

Thank you for your post.

The continuous contract will not receive real-time data unless you have a provider that offers a continuous contract such as eSignal.

However, if you do buy data you can import that data into the current front month (12-09) and view the historical data in that manner. Please the following link on importing data.

Additionally, NinjaTrader 7 will feature enhancements to this process, such as the ability to merge data for individual contracts. Please see the following link.

And also for common instruments roll over dates will be automatically handled by NinjaTrader.
