Yes, the profit target of an ATM strategy will always be submitted as limit order.

Problem with filling PT in ATM

Thanks for the answer. I have a problem with filling the profit target orders. I started to trade yesterday and did'n get filled the PT once out of 3 and today again, even after 4 times the price was touched (on Vol 1000 = 4000 contracts or about 5 min). I got filled immediately after pressing the close button. It doesn't seem reasonable with one contract only. Will appreciate an answer. Thanks

Did the profit target had an accepted or working status during this? If so, the order resides at the broker or exchange, depending on the broker technology. Please see the link below for more information.

I suggest to contact the broker or exchange why the order did not fill.

Change ATM PT limit order to MIT

thanks for fast and clear answers. Is it possible to change the PT in ATM to MIT order type instead of the default limit?

Unfortunately this is not supported. A profit target order part of an ATM strategy will be submitted as limit order.
