Adding Instrument SPZ9

NT,

I am attempting to add the S&P 500 full size futures contract to my instrument list in NT version 6.5 ... 12.

I got the contract info from here.

NT accepts the info and adds the instrument.

But when I attempt to open a chart, I get the following message.

" Error on loading chart data for 'SP 12-09 Globex':NinjaTrader data server does not support this instrument, no data available."

Any suggestions on how to proceed???

Using Zen-Fire I was able to receive real-time data for the SP Future. I have attached screenshots on how I set this up.

However, when creating a chart I receive the same error as you, which indicates that you will not receive historical data in the chart, but if you leave the chart open you will receive real-time data.

I'm still not getting anything.

Do you have any plans to fix/ update your data server???

Hi RJay,

I do receive data but you may not be getting anything because the volume on this contract is so small.

I compared what I was receiving to the exchange numbers and they match.

Please check the Control Center for the instrument and see if you get the data for Last Price. If so then you are receiving data.

To address your second question, this is not an issue with the data server. Zen-Fire does not inherently support historical data but through the NinjaTrader servers we offer historical data for Zen-Fire users for commonly traded instruments. On the less common instruments historical data is not available, and that is the case with this particular instrument.
