Hello jmborde,
Thank you for your post.
Yes it is possible to use eSignal data for charting/strategies and have the orders routed to Interactive Brokers. You will need to connect eSignal first for data and then connect IB second.
For more information about the Multiple Connections please follow the link below.
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.Sergey T.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Hi,
I would like to use GAIN for historical data and MBT for placing trades. I setup multiple connections as suggested in the multiple connections page. However, I am not able to place orders through MBT. The orders are getting placed through GAIN.
Please advice.

Please select your MBTrading account in the NinjaTrader order entry window and your orders should be routed to your MBTrading account.

Hello Eklavya,
Please make sure your live license is entered at Help-->License Key.
Connect to your live MBTrading connection.
Subsequently uncheck 'Global Simulation Mode' at Control Center-->File.
You should now be able to select your live MBTrading account in NinjaTrader.JasonNinjaTrader Customer Service

No, if you are using a live multi broker license, you should be able to select the MBTrading demo account in NinjaTrader.
Note that a free NinjaTrader license is limited to the NinjaTrader sim101 account.
If you have a live license set to trade with Gain, you will not be able to select your MBTrading account either.JasonNinjaTrader Customer Service
