Simulator Options

In the Sim tab there are 2 items that are not explained; Margin and Maintenance Margin. I do know what margin and maintenance margin is, however, I do not understand the units .3 or .5 etc... Could someone give me anexample based on the broker magin of $400?

I have not heard anything yet on the sim settings.
I also have another question. While testing your strategy in realtime in the sim acct, can you make the sim acct calculate commissions into the balance after each trade?

Yes, the sim account would also reflect the entered commissions -

For the margin options, intraday is normally 50% of overnight (except your broker knows you quite a bit and knows you know your stuff ) so 0.5 would reflect this - maintenance is then used for computing the needed cash in the account to 'maintain' the position during the timespan of the trade.
