Not understanding strategy analyzer charts

I don't understand the terminology for the charted trades in strategy analyzer. Why do nearly all of the trades have e.g. :

buy [email protected] for the entry and close position [email protected] right below that when the true exit was @ 13.31

Please provide a screenshot of what exactly you are looking at and why you feel it filled at a different price.

You are using a reversal strategy. To reverse you need to first close your current position and then go into the market in the opposite direction. That is why at each entry point it is also the exit point of the prior position. The Exit On Close means that is the end of the backtest so it closes any remaining positions.

The "close position [email protected]" refers to closing your previous short trade that you entered at 12.28. Maybe the order of the labels labels should be reversed, though, since most people would consider the close/cover happening before the buy/short.
