I have IQFeed and am trying to add sp premium and nasdaq premium in the instrument manager. When i enter the symbol map as SD-PREM.Z i get an error message that the master instrument field can only hold letters digits and underscor. is there another symbol I can use

Thank you for your post.

I was able to receive data for those instruments by using the symbol mapping found on the IQFeed website.

The SP 500 premium symbol is SP-PREM.Z and the Nasdaq is ND-PREM.Z.

Please see the attached screenshot. Additionally, set the exchange to default and the instrument type to Index. Please see the following link for more information.

can you post a screenshot of the definition page, i think the dash is causing a problem in the master instrument location

Yes, that is correct. I titled my instrument SPPREM as seen in the screenshot.

Hyphens are not permitted in the Master Instrument field, nor are spaces. If you want that information I would recommend you place that in the description field.
